Welcome to MCEC
The Mississippi Community Education Center (MCEC) is a non-profit 501 ( c ) 3 organization designed to provide communities with educational services and training programs on a state-wide basis.
MCEC was organized in Mississippi in 1974 through the National Community Education Association (NCEA) and thereby is recognized by NCEA as the official state coordinator of community education in Mississippi. MCEC was created to provide the sound infrastructure needed to carry out the philosophy of life long learning.
The purpose of the Mississippi Community Education Center is the promotion, improvement and expansion of communities through concept development, educational processes and resource referrals. MCEC strives to meet the lifelong learning needs of families by uniting educational and business sectors into collaboration of talents and services, thus creating a more progressive, healthy community.
MCEC also provides evaluation services for various federal, state and local programs and can be instrumental in your organization’s program development and implementation, evaluation, reporting and technical assistance.
